This Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of a terrible and tragic day. Over the past week or so Cindy and I have watched the National Geographic channel more so than usual. We’ve painfully enjoyed the special programming focused on 9-11 events.
This weekend, as the nation and the world remember that day, Christians will look once again to the promises of God as we find them in the scriptures.
These promises are what we hold on to.
They are what we wrap our arms around, the promises we stand upon.
Most of all, we rely on the promise that God is with us always come what may, to walk with us through the hard times of life, and to bring us through them to the other side.
So when we are under attack as individuals, as a church family, or as a nation, that’s what we do.
We keep walking forward, one day at a time, knowing that God will always be with us, and God will see us through.
