Kudo’s to Todd and our Aftershock Youth Ministry
Wednesday night (Feb. 15) was, pardon the pun, the HIGH POINT of our youth ministry’s WORSHIP life. Some 500-plus youth and adult leadership from across Robertson County gathered for an energy-packed night of Christian worship. Our whole facility “rocked” to a new level in spirit, participation, and just plain ‘ol energy. What a great night.
SonFlight, the band, and David Evans, the speaker, challenged our youth right at their greatest need: tearing down the unnecessary to make way for the necessary things in life. Christian music and Bible message combined to inspire our kids to a HIGHER plane of living. Students from 17 or more churches and all our county schools ate, sang, jumped, cried and celebrated together. It was an amazing night.

Thanks goes to a wide cross section of adults at Mt. Carmel who dedicated their evening to make this possible. Some 50+ volunteers worked registration, served pizza and drinks, greeted, set up and cleaned up. It was a labor of love. It’s one way many in our church are finding how great it is to SERVE others!
Cindy and I sat (up in the balcony) with smiles on our faces and a prayer in our hearts thanking God for this night: one we always have dreamed of, wanted for our own boys, and now are excited about what is coming to the community we call home. We are so thankful! Thankful for Todd, for adult leaders, GROWing student leaders, and a church that is unafraid to move forward to reach a new generation.
Question: If you were there for ELEVATE tell me what you thought. Would you like to see more opportunities like this for our community, especially our next generation?
